According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated box office tracking system, ‘Zootopia 2’ surpassed 7 million admissions in South Korea as of Dec. 25. The milestone marks the first release of the year to reach that figure, sending the sequel to the top of the 2025 domestic box office rankings.
Following its strong local performance, the film has continued its momentum overseas. ‘Zootopia 2’ has delivered consistent results across major global markets, including Asia and Europe, reinforcing its position as a worldwide hit beyond North America. As of Dec. 28, China leads individual market grosses with $561.1 million, followed by France ($55.9 million), Japan ($52.2 million), South Korea ($49.1 million) and Germany ($34 million).
Buoyed by its broad international appeal, ‘Zootopia 2’ has generated more than $1 billion in revenue outside its home market, including North America. Global box office receipts have now surpassed $1.42 billion.
With meaningful success across both domestic and international markets, ‘Zootopia 2’ has maintained steady audience turnout since its release, fueling expectations for a prolonged theatrical run. Benefiting from the year-end holiday season, the film continues to draw family audiences, firmly establishing itself as one of the defining box office successes of 2025.
