‘No Other Choice’ Receives Three Golden Globes Nods, Including Best Picture

Director Park Chan-wook’s latest feature ‘No Other Choice’ has scored three nominations at the 83rd Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture. Long regarded for its strong craftsmanship both in South Korea and abroad, the film’s recognition is drawing heightened attention across the industry.

According to the official nominations list released on the Golden Globes website, ‘No Other Choice’ is competing for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy alongside fellow contenders ‘Blue Moon,’ ‘Bugonia,’ ‘Marty Supreme,’ and ‘One Battle After Another.’ The nomination underscores the film’s distinctive directorial vision and the cast’s widely praised performances.

The film also secured a nod in the Best Non-English Language Film category, where it will vie against five titles, including the Cannes Palme d’Or winner ‘It Was Only an Accident.’ The dual nominations further affirm the film’s global reach and artistic impact.

Lead actor Lee Byung-hun earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his performance as ‘Mansu.’ He joins a competitive field that includes Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), George Clooney (Jay Kelly), Jesse Plemons (Bugonia), and Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme).

The 83rd Golden Globes will take place on January 11 at 8 p.m. ET, and the results are already drawing significant attention from the global film community.
