‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Sets Franchise-Long 3h15m Runtime

The runtime for ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ has been confirmed at 3 hours and 15 minutes (195 minutes).

This slightly surpasses the 3 hours 12 minutes (192 minutes) of its predecessor, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, signaling director James Cameron’s return to his trademark combination of epic scale and meticulous storytelling. By comparison, the original ‘Avatar’ (2009) ran 2 hours 42 minutes (162 minutes).

The third installment in the Avatar saga follows Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri’s (Zoe Saldana) family in the wake of their eldest son Neteyam’s death, as the Ash Tribe, led by Varang (Una Chappelain), emerges on a Pandora engulfed in fire and ash.

‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ will premiere globally in South Korea on December 17.
